Matt started out of his garage in a small town in Southern Colorado doing illustration, branding, photography, and advertising. He landed a graphic design job for the Tourism Board of Alamosa, CO where he produced and maintained their website, the annual “Alamosa Visitor Guide” magazine along with all other maps advertising and brochures.
In 2012, Matt and his wife purchased a local sign and graphics shop and renamed it Ion Graphics. There, he started pinstriping and hand lettering which he learned from several legends in the trade such as; Rody Kuschnereit, Jack “the Italian” Giachino, and Todd Hanson of “Hanson Graphics”.
He later built his business into a large “Main Street” graphics warehouse, Ion Graphics Inc, in Alamosa, Colorado. He ran the business with his wife until the “Pandemic” hit in early 2020.
Matt now works out of his home in Southern Colorado and focuses mainly on very specific projects and commissions. If you would like to make Matt a part of your new project, please feel free to contact him with your ideas.
